Biolan Vandens valymo filtras Light.
Filtro medžiagos valymo savybės trunka maždaug 100 dienų, po to medžiaga turi būti pakeista pagal priežiūros instrukcijas.
Installation of Grey Water Filter Light
The filter should be installed on a level, load-bearing, frost-free surface, such as a gravel, crushed stone bed, or a poured concrete slab. The filter must be horizontal in both lengthwise and crosswise directions to ensure wastewater flows evenly, maximizing the filtration surface area of the filter material.
Outdoor Placement
The Biolan Grey Water Filter Light can be placed above ground or partially embedded in the ground. It should be located in an area where standing water does not accumulate, for instance, during floods. The treatment plant can be installed outdoors without a weather cover. Since it is uninsulated, if used in winter, it should be in a space where temperatures remain above freezing.
Placement Near Residential Buildings
If the filter is installed indoors or immediately adjacent to a residential building (e.g., under a terrace), the design must include a separate maintenance entry. The space should have a floor drain or be on bare ground to handle potential issues.
Air Circulation
The filter operates based on microorganisms that need oxygen, so proper ventilation must be ensured. Two T-joints are provided with the module for ventilation. Effective natural ventilation requires a height difference between the intake and exhaust air (from bottom to top) and any possible temperature differences (from cold to warm).
The filter intake air is drawn through the end of the discharge pipe or an air pipe rising from the discharge pipe to ground level. In outdoor installations, exhaust air is vented to the roof via sewer ventilation or directed to the yard through an air pipe in the inlet sewer. For indoor installations or those adjacent to buildings, exhaust air is vented to the roof via sewer ventilation.
Wastewater Flow to the Filter
Wastewater can be directed to the filter either by gravity sewer or with a pump well. When installing gravity sewers, a sufficient slope (at least 1–1.5%) is required to ensure wastewater flows unimpeded from the building’s sewer outlet to the discharge point. A septic tank is not required.
The module has inlet and outlet connections for a 75 mm sewer pipe. The inlet connection is at the top of the module, and the outlet connection is at the bottom. Two modules can be connected in series and in parallel.
Series Connection
The sewer pipe from the building connects to the first module. The outlet pipe of the first module connects to the inlet of the second module. Water from the second module flows to the discharge point as usual.
Parallel Connection
Wastewater is split into two modules using a socket branch. For even distribution, it is beneficial to have an 80 cm straight section in the inlet pipe before the socket branch to reduce incoming water turbulence.
Connecting Four Modules Together
Wastewater is split into two parallel-connected modules, followed by two additional units in series.
Using Existing Septic Tanks
If existing septic tanks are used in the wastewater system, they must be sealed and in good condition.
Wastewater Discharge Point
Treated wastewater should be directed to a suitable discharge point, such as a gravel bed, infiltration pit, or open ditch. The design should ensure unrestricted discharge even during high surface or groundwater levels. When discharging to an open ditch, a flap or screen should be placed at the end of the pipe to prevent entry by rodents or other small animals.
Installing the Filter Material
The filter material comes packed in bags inside the unit. Transfer the material from the bag to the trays, fluff it, and spread it evenly with light tapping in the tray. An initial supply of filter material is provided with the filter. Divide the contents of one bag into five filter trays. Finally, pull the filter material back about 5 cm from the V-slots at the discharge end of the tray. Stack the filter trays securely on top of each other inside the filter, alternating the orientation of each tray:
– The lowest tray’s discharge slots (V-slots) toward the discharge side.
– The second-lowest tray’s discharge slots toward the inlet side, and so forth.
This arrangement ensures water passes through all levels before discharge.
Review the installation instructions carefully and remember to record the installation date in the maintenance log.
The Biolan Grey Water Filter Light is an uninsulated filter module designed for treating wash water.
The filter material in the module maintains its cleaning efficiency for approximately 100 usage days, after which it must be replaced according to maintenance instructions.
Manufacturing Materials
The filter is made from frost-resistant materials and is uninsulated. It is reliable and durable.
